From Rastatt, excellent excursions can be made to the neighboring Rebland region and the Black Forest hiking paradise with the romantic Murg Valley. Varied natural and cultural landscapes on numerous cycling and hiking trails are guaranteed.
The Rhine floodplains near Rastatt, also known as the Baden Jungle, are considered the last intact floodplain on the Upper Rhine. They serve as a habitat for numerous plants and animals.
A detour to neighboring Alsace can be made by ferry across the Rhine. A special tip is the German-French bike trail through the PAMINA Rhine Park. An extensive network of bike paths leads visitors from Rastatt to nature reserves with interesting stops along the way that tell stories in a variety of ways.
But also Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden, the racecourse Iffezheim, the " Volksschauspiele" in Ötigheim or the amusement park Europa-Park in Rust can be reached quickly from Rastatt.
